The Rzym Inn in Sucha Beskidzka

This eighteenth century inn is situated near the market square in Sucha Beskidzka. In the past, when the town held a horse fair, it was a place where business matters were finalised and drunk to. It is a valuable example of wooden architecture. This one-storey timbered building was built on a stone foundation. Of course, we do not know whether it was this inn that Adam Mickiewicz had in mind when writing the ballad "Mrs. Twardowska". Nevertheless, the legend of the clever Twardowski is cultivated here. As it goes in the famous ballad, a horse painted on canvas is the emblem of the inn. All guests are greeted in the inn's hall by a statue of the Devil, and over the bar there is a portrait of Twardowski.

In addition to its amazing atmosphere, the inn offers its guests delicious dishes prepared on a coal stove (e.g. żurek from Stryszawa and suski).
