The European Festival of Jan Kiepura

The festival was first organised in 1967. Virtually all top artists of the Polish opera and operetta have already performed in Krynica. Bogusław Kaczyński has been the director of the festival for many years now. Each year, this unique end-of-summer event attracts crowds of music lovers and tourists. For two weeks, the town comes alive with music and singing, giving the place an unforgettable atmosphere.

Since 2004, the festival concerts have also been held in other Polish cities, and even abroad. These are the so-called 'festival stops' which have already taken place in such cities as Cracow, Toronto, Trzebinia, Warsaw, Gdynia, Szczecin, Poznań, Wrocław and Łańcut.
