Willa Koliba

Villa Koliba - the first building in the style of Zakopane in Zakopane, designed by Stanislaw Witkiewicz. The name of a hut in a bustling mountain shepherd\\'s hut. The villa was built for the landowner from Podolia - Zygmunt Gnatowski, who originally wanted to erect a simple highland cottage and put it in their ethnographic collections. In 1891 he created sketches Koliba, and it was built by local highlanders, under the supervision of Witkiewicz in 1892-1893 Street. Koscieliska. The result is a larger object, however: in the east wing Highlander Chamber for the purpose of ethnographic collections, and in the story west wing hallway separated from the chamber include living room, bedroom and second bedroom upstairs and the room used.

From 4 December 1993 in Koliba villa houses the Museum of the Zakopane Style. Stanislaw Witkiewicz (part of the Tatra Museum).
